Vaucluse Public School

Our school

Vaucluse Public School can trace its heritage to the first school established at South head in 1858. This school was later renamed Watsons Bay School and in 1924 was relocated to the present site under the name of Vaucluse Public School. The original school situated adjacent to Our Lady Star of the Sea is now a community centre.

The school is located in a picturesque setting between Cambridge Avenue and Village High Road. Local flora is similar to that of nearby Parsley Bay. Birdlife includes kookaburras and rainbow lorikeets. Also from floor one of the Administration Building a clear view of North Head can be observed. There is a strong sense of community in the area, which is reflected throughout the school.
